The UK Government consulted on proposals for anÌý, a new Baccalaureate-style qualification framework for 16-19 year-olds in the UK.ÌýTheÌýÌìÃÀ´«Ã½'Ìýresponse emphasisedÌýthe importance of a broad curriculum that includes language learning and the need for languages to be a core part of education up to age 18. ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ has no issues with the proposed aims and principles of the ABS but advocates for the greater recognition and support of Home, Heritage, and Community languages, as well as recognition of the practical value of languages in life and work.
